Teachers

Our teachers are exceptional people. First of all, they have a lot of experience and a passion for teaching, very dedicated and committed to the whole learning process. They stand out for being very supportive and understanding while maintaining high expectations for all participants in the lessons. The way they understand body work in ballet lessons is extremely close to us: focusing on awareness, understanding and not forcing the body, building strength and stability, coordination and musicality.

She is currently working with choreographer Patrick King/Salon K and London based company Ballet MAR.

As of 2023, Shannon is a 4Pointe certified teacher.
Having many influences in my classical training (from Paris Opera to Balanchine) I pull from them all to
create a class that I believe prepares the dancer for whatever they need, while keeping them strong and
healthy. Challenging the brain is just important as challenging the body, so while the atmosphere is calm,
one must also be alert. I strive to inspire the dancers to work hard while enjoying themselves and feeling
confident to push their limits.
As a dancer, what is important to me?
Finding my own way through the choreography and using the vocabulary of ballet to find freedom, to
push the boundaries. I love how in dance, every time you do something, it is different. Nothing can ever
be repeated exactly the same way and that’s beautiful. I love rehearsing and being so exhausted and
having those breakthrough moments. I also love the community of dancers.
